CLEOS focuses on Cyberinfrastructure Development and Data Analysis/Mining for a variety of science and engineering applications. A core activity is middleware development for streaming data applications, including sensor/instrument integration and management. A second core activity is the application of statistical learning models to complex data analysis problems, including real-time sensor streams and remote sensing imagery. CLEOS has developed and maintains an analysis toolkit for feature selection and predictive modeling over complex data (SKIDLkit). The lab also specializes in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions for Sensor Networks in a variety of domains. Projects range from environmental and oceanographic observation systems to civil infrastructure "health" monitoring applications.
The Lab is led by
Tony Fountain.
